Geoffrey Reeves

Treasurer

Geoffrey Reeves serves as a Director and Treasurer for the Turtle Survival Alliance Canada. Now retired, Mr. Reeves is a results-driven, collaborative Capital Markets Executive with extensive international financial experience, recognized as a strategic, future-focused, lateral thinker, trusted advisor, and inspirational leader. His career at CIBC Capital Markets includes a significant tenure as Vice Chair and Managing Director Advisor and Relationship Manager from 2008 to 2021, where he provided senior coverage for Government, Infrastructure, and large Pension Plan clients in Canada, leading C-suite client initiatives and advising on corporate and government-linked new companies and privatizations. Prior to this, he was Head of Global Debt Origination from 2003 to 2008, and a financial engineer and subject matter expert on the Canadian side of the International Swap Dealers Association (ISDA), involved in developing global derivatives market standards. Mr. Reeves brings a broad range of Board experience from corporate and not-for-profit organizations, including serving on the Sustainability Committee for the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) since 2019, as a formative Board Member for Invest Toronto from 2009 to 2016, and as Chair and Board Member for the Greenwood College School Foundation for 10 years (2008-2019). He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.
